It’s Write Now Update

Hello everyone. I really do appreciate my readers and subscribers. Especially those of you who have been around since the beginning and still take the time to stop by. During the next couple of days I am going to be moving this blog to a new server.
I have been researching this a lot and have moved some smaller blogs, so I think it will go smoothly. But just in case I wanted to give everyone a head’s up, in case we experience some downtime.
Another thing I’ve been wanting to talk about are comments. As most of you know I was a do follow blog. But unfortunately, someone, put me on some lists of do follow blogs with PR, and I have been inundated with spam.
If there is something good, stupid people have to mess it up. I would actually allow anchored text, especially if it was a clever, witty, or relevant comment. But instead, I was getting those idiotic comments that didn’t even apply, and were absolutely inane. You know the ones where people read one sentence or just the title, and say something that is totally opposite from what you were writing about.
So I had no choice but to remove the do follow plug in. Anyway I hope all goes well and I’ll talk to you guys soon. If not, see you in a couple of days.

Yeah, lately my spam folder has had more things in it like, “Awesome blog! I’m looking forward to reading more of your posts!” I was happy until I caught on to how vague those comments are…and applicable to every blog in existence, cut and paste, baby!

HI Emma – Long time since I’ve commented but life and disabilities kept me quite busy over the past year or so.
Anyway, I’ve recently picked up the pace on blogging to more normal level and I’ve finally gotten around to checking up on my old friends.
You’ve come a long way since you first began (I was there, remember?
)and things are definitely looking good. Nice job!
I also had to ditch the DoFollow plugin for the same reason you have and added the CommentLuv plugin to make up for it. May I also suggest the “Subscribe to Comments” plugin to go along with it? It’s a tried and true plugin and complements the CommentLuv plugin very well. It’s also provides a lot of reader benefit as they’ll know when a post they’ve commented on receives another comment. It can be set so it’s a voluntary choice by the reader by the commenter whether they receive an email notification or not (keeps them from forgetting the posts they’ve commented on too.)
