Why Worry? The Adventures of Bay Bob A Loo Bop

This is my Free Book Review #3. This is a children’s book called, “Why Worry”, By K. Hensler. The things I like about this book, is that it is about horses, and it not only tells the story of this young horse, and his family, but it actually teaches kids, about horses as well.

Plus, part of the proceeds of the book, are donated to charities involving horses, such as therapeutic riding and racehorse rescue organizations. The book was illustrated by 4 students who did an amazing job. The artwork is beautiful. I only wish, I could draw and paint that well.

The artists were: Amy Hafner, Charla Woodard, Ali Cater, and Katelynn Swaner.

“Why Worry”, is the first in a series of adventures of Bay Bob A Loo Bop. Who has a pretty good life on Farmer Bob’s, Full Circle Farm. But, he is prone to worrying and when he hears a change may take place, he gets concerned, and learns the unique perspective, of each of the horses, on the farm.

He discovers that his fears were unfounded and there is no point in worrying about things that haven’t even happened yet. If you have a child who is prone to worrying, this will be a nice lesson for them, as well.

If you go to the authors website, KHensler.com, there is a video of the book and free coloring pages that can be printed out. Since the artwork is so nice, I think this is a great touch. There is also a contact form if  your child is interested in doing some of the illustrations for the next book in the series.

The second book in the series is going to be titled, “I’m Too Busy,” maybe the lesson in this story is aimed at adults. Anyway, if your child likes horses and drawing this series will be a great edition to their book collection.
