Is Google Slapping BANS?

I just read this article over at The Niche Store Builder site. The main point of the article is that 23, of the authors, bans sites with AdSense were deindexed by Google. I have a feeling this isn’t the AdSense causing the deindexing.
It’s more likely the AdSense triggered a visual inspection and the BANS caused the deindexing. Apparently BANS has been a great money maker for many people. In fact the first time I purchased from eBay I think it was from a link on some type of BANS store.
I have a feeling that Google has decided that BANS sites are thin affiliates, and are deindexing them as they discover them. Maybe some BANS with lots of content and blogs are OK, or maybe not. Until somebody comes up with a definitive answer to these questions. I guess the only way to figure out what is happening is the usual trial and error.
One thing that I do know is, without the chance for organic traffic, the chance of making much from a BANS site is very small. I guess BANS was good while it lasted, but I got in the game a little late to benefit. That brings up my next point.
When it comes to making money online, being a leader and not a follower seems to be the key to success. Internet Marketing is kind of like the stock market, once everyone jumps on the bandwagon it’s too late to make a profit.
If anyone knows what’s going on, I’d love to hear about it. Is this just a temporary hick up? Or is BANS going the way of PPP? What do you think?

I feel sorry for all those guys who started listening to Vic from Blogger Unleashed and spent hundreds of dollars buying products that are worthless now, if that is the case what you were saying is true. And in Googles defense, they should ban those sites…..I think they are thin affiliate sites with little to no value other then a referral link.

Wow. Some people are really going to lash out at Vic from Blogger Unleashed. I decided not to do the BANS because I had already been burned with the PPP pr drop and the Squidoo deindexing (when a spammer created 400 spam lenses).
You do have a great attitude about it though.
Good luck to you…

Collin, keyword elite and seo elite are still useful, it’s just the BANS software that may not be useful anymore. And I don’t know for sure if BANS is going the way of PPP it’s just a possibility. As far as Vic goes it’s not his fault about the BANS. He was trying to help people by sharing what worked for him. If BANS goes the way of PPP he’ll be out of luck just like everyone else.

Supermom, I don’t think many people will lash out at Vic,(at least not to his face).
And I could be wrong about Google going after BANS. I learned a lot creating the BANS sites and I even made a couple of sales, so it’s no big deal. Vic also talks a lot about having multiple income streams, because things like this happen. So I think Vic will be OK. Thanks for visiting and good luck to you as well.

I bought it, but didn’t do much with it because I didn’t have the time. Reading this makes me glad I didn’t follow through with my plans. I’m sorry! That really sucks for you and a lot of other people.

Thanks, Michelle. Actually, I don’t mind because now I’m free to work on other things.

I enjoy watching Vic’s videos. I know where here’s coming from. Unfortuantely, there are people that will still act like it’s his fault. Vic is smart. I know he’ll overcome the Google de indexing or find another way around it.
You are so right. Multiple streams of income is the way to go!

Every site has footprints and when hundreds of copies of one type of site software is released and people start jumping on the bandwagon, the once tiny glitch in the SERP’s of Google becomes a big target. I have seem this with so many site building systems. That is why the concept may work, but you are better off building your own model or getting it built.

I’ve read a lot about BANS, however had a feeling there was going to be a Google crackdown, so I waited to see. Now I am glad I didn’t spend time/money on this. However, who knows, it may not be Google.

I don’t know for sure what’s going on. It’s possible it’s just temporary. Hopefully, BANS and some quality content can go together.

A concept shared over at shoemoney applies. “Don’t make google look stupid”
I think if they visually review your site, and they get pissed. You are in trouble. Point blank.

Slapped or otherwise, it is never is a great model if you offer what other people can provide so easily.
At least provide some value, add a blog. That’s what I have said repeatedly.
