My #1 Ranked Keyword Phrases According To Google

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

When I began It’s Write Now I wasn’t aware of keywords and ranking in Google. As a result of my lack of keyword focus I rank number one for some odd terms. The great thing about this example is that it’s not very difficult to get to the number one spot for many terms.

With a focused approach. Some luck and skill in keyword selection. Some keyword rich content. And a little link building it’s possible to rank #1 for your keyword terms. Here is a breakdown of my top 3 accidental keyword phrases.

Too or To

Too or To

I wrote this post last September; Too or To, apparently I wasn’t the only one with this question. I get a handful of searchers each day from this post.

NeverBlueAds Promo Code

Interestingly enough I was number one for this term until about just a minute ago when Zac Johnson just knocked me down to number 3 and took the first two spots. Just for fun maybe I’ll write about NeverBlueAds Promo Code and see if I can get my spot back.

neverblueads promo code

The irony about Never Blue Ads promo codes is I don’t even think they exist. I accidentally ranked for this term by having a DreamHost promo code in my side bar and writing a post about Never Blue Ads.

I even received an email from Never Blue Ads asking me to take my Emma90 promo code down. Because I was getting a lot of Never Blue sign ups on my link and people were typing in Emma90 as the promo code. I complied and took down my Never Blue sign up link. Here’s the screen shots. What do you think?

Christina Mendonsa

The next term I ranked number one for is the name of my favorite news anchor Cristina Mendonsa although I rank for the misspelled version Christina Mendonsa, even beating out a News 10 article. That just goes to show that misspelled keywords can be another route to ranking. Even though I’ve since corrected the misspelling in this brief post from July 2007; Lessons Learned From Christina Mendonsa

This was my longest post yet. I hope it’s not too much for you guys. I just wanted to explore the importance of keywords and how they can be used to rank in Google, which in turn will get organic traffic. Of course there is a lot of competition for popular money making keywords. So achieving ranking for these words,  is a lot more difficult.

In fact I have anchored links going to my own name and I currently only rank number 7 for it. I’d love to hear about any strange keywords you may have accidentally ranked for.

I love using Google tools to spot new keywords like this too, basicaly visitors tell you what they want and Google tells you your article was great for the new keyword… you get to research why :p

Keywords do work alot of the time, yet sometimes regardless of what you do you cant get up there.

One of my sites, the domain is .com and 8 years old, 10,000+ backlinks, PR4

The .co.uk extension (not mine) is 2 years old with 1000 links and PR2, is above mine in google, and ranks higher for the same keywords!
