I haven’t done a post about Vic yet only because I was waiting to give you some quantifiable results to see if following his advice really does work. The reason I don’t have those results yet is not because of Vic but because of me and time commitments.
I’m slowly but surely plugging away. But I tend to be one of those people that spend a lot of time trying to learn as much as possible before diving in. Plus I have other time commitments. I have a day job that not only tries to use all of my physical time but also seems to strive on being the most politically charged environment possible. Where even the simplest of tasks is made as difficult and stressful as possible.
Even my cats are working against me. Whenever I try to create a blog post or work on my BANS sites. They take turns alternately jumping on my keyboard, meowing and making other strange sounds, scratching on the door. Acting like they are going to die if I don’t immediately get up and; let them in, let them out; open a fresh can of food, talk to them, or take turns having a staring contest.
Even when I think their finally leaving me alone I’ll discover one on the desk just staring at my face. You’re a cat! Go take a nap, or have a beer, or watch TV or something. Your time is your own, leave me alone.
OK, back to the good stuff. Vic is the owner of Blogger Unleashed. He makes video blogs that teach methods for making money online. Using some of the simpler starting techniques such as BANS sites and AdSense niches. His focus is on generating targeted organic traffic. Using the right keywords, and linkbuilding in order to move up in the SERPS, all things that result in making money.
He just recently madeĀ this Mission: Possible Blogging For Money Challenge 2008. Where he is going to help 100 blogger’s compete in a contest to see who creates the most organic traffic and wins an expenses paid trip to BlogWorld 2008 in Las Vegas.
In spite of my fear of commitment, I’m going to participate in Vic’s challenge. I watch all of his videos anyway and I would hate to miss out on some secret contest info. Plus lessons in generating organic traffic from the man himself. Bring it on Blogger Unleashed. Challenge accepted.

One of the really hard things for new folks that come into internet marketing is trying o actually have time when you have a 9-5 it just makes it hard. One of the things that I tell folks outright is the fact that having an online business is sometimes harder then a traditional business model this is one of the things that all these scumbags that scam people sell the dream of your own business at your own time it is laughable. So the fact that you have this wonderful blog an also have your BANS sites going gets you ahead of 90% of folks that come into this IM word and quit after 6 months cuz they found out it was hard work. I look forward to getting you to that next level.

Ahh, thanks for calling my blog wonderful. I’ve already invested a lot of time and I’m always learning and making strides here and there. So I have no intention of quitting.
I got a little hung up on moving my domains from GoDaddy to HostGator. But I figured it out. Apparently GoDaddy updated their control panel but not the help videos. But that’s the thing about trying new things once you’ve done it. It only gets easier.
By the time your contest starts I should have an impressive BANS network set-up. Then I can work on my niches and affiliate stuff. And eventually I’ll bump this blog up to the next level.
I appreciate all of your support. Keep those videos coming. Emma

Emma,
Nice blog! You have definitely put your heart into this. I cannot wait to get started with Vic’s contest. Looks like we will be comrades. We all will be winners because we are going to learn how to make money online. We probably all will make enough to pay our own way to the Blogging Expo.
Good luck with all those Bans sites. You are really rockin.
See you at Blogger Unleashed!

Emma: I agree, my full-time job often requires me to work late hours. Sounds like you’re doing a great job managing your time though. Creating BANS sites is at the top of my “list” of blog-related tasks. I know you’ll do really well in Vic’s program!

I think is a great post. Blogging is hard because it can interfere with work/committments, etc. but the key is to make time for it. If it is important enough to you it will.

Emma, your April posts are on the front page not any of your May posts. Is your blog broken or something?
Emma | May 13, 2008 | Reply
I understand your trying to get anchored links. But do you really think my blog is broken? Stupid comments with keywords for signatures often get put in Akismet. If you actually read my blog you would understand that I’m busy with other projects and it’s not my goal to post daily. grrr
