I’m a huge fan of the Suze Orman show. I’ve seen every episode in the last 5 years and after awhile her solid financial advice starts to sink in. The last couple of weeks there has not been a new episode, so I assumed Suze was on summer vacation. Well I was pleasantly surprised when I checked my DVR and found a new episode. I was even more surprised when I discovered her show had a special guest Kathy Griffin.
I think Kathy Griffin is hilarious, I love her quick wit and offbeat humor. I also admire her honesty about her career. Each week she opens up her home and life, on her show “My Life On the D-List”. Even topics like her divorce and her father’s death are not off limits.
I also have seen Kathy Griffin and Suze Orman as guests, and /or co-hosts on separate episodes of “The View” recently. Seeing these 2 women sit down together and discuss money, was like listening to an honest private conversation. Some tips I picked up from them were:

They both agreed that talking about money, and saying what you make is empowering. Suze made a good point about “Money can’t buy happiness, but lack of money will definitely make you unhappy”. I also thought Kathy made a good point about, if we don’t have money, it’s our own fault. If you want to have money and be financially secure, you have to get out there and work for it.
