I Switched To Never Blue Ads

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

In case you’ve recently noticed. I don’t have any AdSense ads on this site. I’m still a fan of AdSense and I plan on using it for some niche sites I’m developing. But I recently found out that I was smart priced and AdSense isn’t the best monetization choice for this blog.

If you don’t know what smart pricing is you should probably read Courtney Tuttle’s great article How To Get Worthless AdSense Clicks. If one of your sites is smart priced then your entire account will be. In order to get the maximum price for your clicks you need at least a 3% CTR. So if you have a blog about blogging, and no one clicks on your ads, then all of your sites will be smart priced.

Therefore, I needed to remove my AdSense and replace it with something else. I was recently accepted into the NeverBlueAds program. So I will be experimenting with some of their offerings. NeverBlueAds has a lot of options and is really easy to implement. There are several different campaigns that I am interested in. So you should be hearing more about this in the future.

If you are interested in testing the waters of some other affiliate programs, you might want to sign up for NeverBlueAds. Signing up is easy. One thing, that you shouldn’t be worried about, is that once you sign up an account representative actually calls you on the phone and speaks to you. Your account won’t be approved until that conversation happens.

This almost scared me away. But I left my number anyway. Once they called they just asked about my sites, and traffic levels, and marketing techniques. They just want to screen the applicants to make sure they get quality publishers. Then after the conversation, they approve you, and you get an email with your passwords, and you are good to go.

A lot of people are moving away from AdSense. I guess John Chow started this phenomenon. :)

Hey! Great article. I too am sick of adsense as it just does not deliver anymore!

I wrote an article about what needs to be done to change it and what is taking over now (in my opinion).

We really need to find the ‘next big thing’ fast!

Keep up the good work :)

I stopped by to see what the Entrecard looks like on someone else’s site! NICE!!! =) Still working on the Favicon. I’ll get it eventually! =)

Anyway, you seem happy with NeverBlue Ads. Am I right? I was thinking of trying them out, but wanted to master AdSense first. It’s going alright. =)

Thank you for dropping by my site! Your second Entrecard should be up this evening! Right around 5:30pm EST.

I think neverblueAds has a lot of potential. I haven’t put much time into creating any great campaigns yet! I too would like to master AdSense.

I’ve signed up for NeverBlueAds but haven’t implemented it yet. One of my favorites other than direct sponsorship is Chitika, but it is geared more towards product sites.

I’m still experimenting, I’ll probably create some niche sites and see how that goes. Some day I’ll check out Chitika, I’ve heard good things about them. I’m trying to focus on one project at a time. Thanks for visiting, I’d love to hear any advice or experiences you’ve had. Take Care, Emma

Emma: thanks for the info. on NeverBlueAds. I’d like to check them out and would gladly sign up through you but was wondering if they have a minimum traffic requirement . . . . I’ve read that some ad companies won’t accept applications from new sites with low traffic.

How does neverblueads compare to other affiliate companies like commission junction?

@ Chanya, when they called me they did ask about traffic. But they didn’t really press the issue. If they have a requirement I don’t know what it is. Plus a lot of people use affiliates for sites that they haven’t created yet. I’m still trying to figure out the best way to use them.

@ Questrade I haven’t had the pleasure of using Commission Junction, yet. NeverblueAds has a really easy user interface. But I’ve heard Commission Junction has more offers, such as big companies like Expedia.

Emma, Can you give any details on your NeverBlue Ads experience? Also, I posted a comment here earlier and it appears to have been deleted. It was from my smoothieweb.com email. Did I offend in some way?

No Shell, I’m not offended sometimes I get some weird stuff on the site, or maybe it went to my spam filter and got deleted. Sorry, no hard feelings. I haven’t really tried to do much with neverblue yet. I had an ad on this site that I got a commission on. I think affiliates would work best with targeted traffic and I’m just beginning to create some targeted niche sites.

I do know that I put a poetry.com ad on here and a reader alerted me that that was pretty much a scam site. So I took the ad down and I was a little wary of neverblue after that. But, I just recently got an email from them saying they removed all poetry.com ads from their site.

If your looking for some different affiliate programs to promote. I think they are worth checking out. Other programs may be just as good or better. This is just the one I’m going to focus on for awhile. Once I have something a little more solid to report I’ll make a post about it. Emma

    Hi,

    Interesting article.
For now I’m using Adsense, but I’m thinking about implementing another programm.
I just want to keep the right balancing between content and ads.
Heck ! I live in Portugal. I could bet that those guys from Blueads wouldn’t call me :-)
But then again with VOIP and all….

    Take care,

    José

Hey Emma! I haven’t tried NeverBlueAds yet, but over the years I’ve been doing quite well with MaxBounty. When I first heard about MaxBounty I was a little reluctant to try them (as I am with all affiliate networks), but after a few months I soon realized that I made the right choice. For years I was using CJ and was extremely dissatisfied with the quality of support or should I say “lack of support”, but with MaxBounty I usually get a response to my question within 12-24 hours. Anyways, I think I’ll try NeverBlueAds, and eventually post a review. As for MaxBounty, you can check out this review that I wrote for more info and screenshots.

Hey Tom I won 150$ from Max Bounty in a contest on Gyutaes Winning the Web site. Afterwards they hounded me with phone calls and emails. About why I wasn’t making any sales. They were the most annoying affiliate I’ve ever signed up with. I suggest not signing up with them unless you have the time to immediately work on campaigns that convert.
