Now There’s A Grandma Bandit

When I first began blogging, there was a rash of news stories, about local bank robbers, with colorful nicknames. I thought this was funny and wrote a parody about blogging and bank robbing. Well, it’s happening again, we have another local bank robber. This time it’s the Grandma Bandit.

When a woman between 65 and 70 years of age, goes to the local Safeway, and robs the stores bank branch, it kind of makes you wonder. What’s her story? Home in foreclosure? Wanting Christmas cash? Can’t pay for necessities? Maybe, a sociopath, with nothing to lose? Who are you Grandma Bandit?

Update:

The alleged Grandma Bandit has been caught. Turns out she was actually a married 50 year old woman, with a daughter in college. The family home was in foreclosure and they were having financial troubles. I’m sure there is much more going on than that.
