Sure, I gained about 20 pounds but my productivity jumped about 200%. I no longer had to sit in a cubicle and listen to all the incessant whining. Most can't deal with all of the paper work though. Contracting is less paper work for the most part, you still get a 1099, so you don't have to really deal with billing that much. My second job, contractor, allows me to work from anywhere. I have to be able to do that because the server that stuff is hosted on is not even in this country. Blogging, the small income has been just that, a small income. I wouldn't know what to do if it was a main source of income. Writers block more than likely. I do hope that one day I can just wake when I want to and have made 1 billion dollars over night. I doubt that will happen unless inflation gets really bad in the next 10 years. I think many writers and bloggers are getting involved with fitness precisely for that reason. You have to take a break anyway. It might as well be spent running or hitting the gym. I've yet to blog at Starbucks. If I try it I'll probably be hooked. :grin: Thanks for the comment. Why? Because my proximity to the kitchen meant that I was constantly eating when I was bored or stressed out. I started writing from a nearby Starbucks (ironic, I know) and that solved the problem.
