How To Make My Own You Tube Clips

For those of you who have read some of my previous posts you may recall me mentioning my other site, Bad Girls of Comedy which showcases female comedians. While working on this site I discovered that I need a way to create my own You Tube videos to put the exact clips I want on my site. What I wanted to do was capture TV and then put it on my site. After a little research this is what I’ve come up with:

Install A TV Tuner Card in my computer and the appropriate software.

Plug my Television cable into my tuner card.

Record the shows I’m interested in.

Use windows Movie Maker to capture video clips and still photos for the site.

Upload the movie clips to You Tube.

You Tube will convert the clips to Flash.

Then I’ll use the embed code to have the exact clips I create on my site. Plus I might get a little exposure from You Tube as well.
I’m sure there are many ways to do this. This is just the simplest solution I came up with it. As usual if anyone has better suggestions or additional info I would love to hear about it. Emma
