Hi Emma,

It’s the Spanish silver dollar that was often cut into halves, quarters and eighths. It was commonly known as “pieces of eight”.

Drew, I would love t' enter your contest. I have always had a thin' for pirates meself.

T' thin' be I'm kind o' lazy and I don't know if I'll have time t' post about me day job and then convert it into pirate language.

I like your sites and I'm glad your part o' me small but wonderful community now.
