A Successful Day!

Friday was a successful blog day for me. It started out a little shaky with “zero subscribers“. But, by the end of the day I was very happy.
Friday night, I checked my Adsense and discovered, I had made over 3 dollars. I know, your thinking, “3 dollars a day, that’s nothin!”. Not 3 dollars a day, 3 dollars that day. If you have a blog you’ll understand.
When I checked Google Analytics, I discovered I had 192 visits, and 166 unique visitors. This was my best day yet. I was ecstatic.
As if this wasn’t enough, Saturday morning I discovered a strange incoming link. And found out that Kirk over at Just Thinkin’, wrote a very nice review of my site, and Sara’s Forum, The Blog Experiment.
This made my day! This was my first review. Not paid. Not planned. Thanks again, Kirk.
One of the things I like about blogging, is the great people I get to interact with. Becoming part of a blog community is really fun.
So once again, I want to Thank, each and every one of you for stopping by, and following along. Emma

I do know what it means 3 dollars, when I hardly go over few cents a day
So congratulations !

I remember my first three-dollar days. They were pretty exciting! Viral posts can be a mixed bag for response, but you’ve had some success with it. Keep up the great work!

@ Stephane It was a lucky day. Most of the traffic was generated by StumbleUpon. So you may be right about the viral linking. Oh and I’m glad your still here, come back anytime.
@ Chris You are too funny. I checked out your site and subscribed. Thanks for stopping by.
@ Kirk Hey Kirk, It’s nice to hear from you.
@ Ian I didn’t know you read my site. I am a fan of yours. Yes this was a lucky day for me. And you are so right, about viral posts being a mixed bag. My criticisms were pretty mild, but it still made me question, if it was the right thing to do or not. Thanks for stopping by.

Good day, Emma! I want to say thank you for taking the time to write your blog. I am quite interested in starting my own blog, and I had no idea where to begin! Upon reading your blog (about blogging) from the beginning, I’ve learned a *ton* and will hopefully begin putting that knowledge to work for me quite soon! I even posted my first Helium article last night - because I saw it on your site!
I just felt it necessary to say thanks and wish you the best luck with everything to come!! Keep up the writing and know that you have a very supportive reader out there!

I absolutely agree with you about the people part of it. That is what makes it fun. The heck with the $1.47 I made yesterday…

Hey Michelle, the people part is great. But 1.47 is pretty good for AdSense. I would love to get the kind of traffic you get. I’m just starting out. Plus it’s pretty cool Darren mentioned you the other day.
By the way if you scroll down to the bottom of my blog you will often find the elusive envirolet. I think I’ll just throw in the towel, and declare this an environmentally friendly blog.
