Free Logos.

Did you know there are tons of online sources for creating logos. I used SimWebSol Logo Generator, to create this. I’ve recently been spending more time on images and graphics. Hopefully within a couple of months I’ll have my shiny new theme perfected. But for now one little step at a time.

For those of you who are graphic designers and photo shop experts, I know there are a lot of more advanced ways to do this. This site is a simple journey, of how a site evolves from the beginning, onward. Each time I learn something new, I document it. Then move forward. The advanced stuff will come later.

I think the first steps in creating a site are:

All categories overlap and you have to start somewhere. If we let perfectionism hold us back, we will never get anywhere. That is why I bravely dove in. Learning everything, by trial and error. And juggling time spent on each step. Plus trying to acquire all of the technical skills, needed.

This brings me to the topic of site design. My site will be evolving over time, and I hope to implement some really cool design ideas. I would like to share with you 2 sites, which I think, are designed really well.

The first one is One Man’s Goal. His blog is fairly new, but he has been doing a really great job. He’s also gotten some link love by Problogger. Lucky Guy! I recently checked out his site, and it looked different.

It looked so well, uh, professional. Apparently he got some help in modifying his theme. It looks great. Maybe that’s what I should do. Nah, that would ruin all the fun.

The second site is Photo Matt. I was researching sites, on favicon creation, and had several open tabs in my browser. When I opened this site, the first thought I had was, “Wow, what a nice theme, I wonder which one it is?”

After scrolling down to the bottom of the page, to see who made the theme, I realized, I was on the site of Matt Mullenweg. That’s right, the creator of WordPress. We wouldn’t expect anything less. But his site is really great looking.

Once again, Thanks for following along. I’ll talk to you soon. Emma
