This has been a busy blog week for me.
I have been participating in some forums recently. Learning from others, and creating blog awareness. At the Authority Blogger Forum they have a thread about useful blog links. Somebody suggested we check out Problogger.net.
I thought this was kind of funny. Since he has 28,000 subscribers and everyone has checked the site out. Problogger has a guest post today about using My Space to promote your blog.
When I have some time I might check it out. But I think, the My Space thing will take some effort. Those kids and child predators, know when your faking it.
Blog promotion seems to be a key factor in getting readers. So I’m going to check out these sites, and decide what works and what doesn’t. I’ll get back to you with the results.
I had a nice jump in traffic, because of the Bloggrrl contest. I also finally made a little something with AdSense. Now I know why they call it “cents”.
I also noticed that my sidebar, where the Google ads were, was filled up with one graphic of a new movie by Jodie Foster. It looked cool. I was tempted to click on it.
I think this got me the clicks, so I am going to edit my Google AdSense code, to only show image ads. This is learning by trial and error.
I would also like to welcome my newest commentator Kher Cheng Guan from the Malaysia-lah blog. Kher I appreciate the support.
One other thing, if you leave a comment on John Chow’s site. Deselect the e-mail notification check box, or you inbox will be flooded with John Chow comment notifications. I guess he really is that popular.

Update: I changed the ads to image only, and got a big ad for envirolet waterless toilets. I wanted Jodie Foster. A giant toilet doesn’t fit in with the theme of this blog. So I switched back to the other ads. Live and Learn.
Update Update: On second thought, I’m switching back to the image ad. I’m just moving it to the bottom of the side bar. The envirolet is actually kind of funny. Maybe I can host some kind of contest, like who can find the envirolet? Till Next Time, Emma
